Poetry
Autumn's Hope
When autumn arrives,
tingeing anew the leaves,
and you pluck them from their trees;
his rapid play among the leaves revives.
Saying good-bye to dream,
as the wind, its sighs begun,
and happy in its race to run,
a -painting goes the stream.
Later, he colors-in the pathway
with piles of leaves, plucked and fallen;
then he, himself, falls smitten, in her way.
And his face shines full on whom he loves;
you are the hope of autumn,
Woman
Woman... Shout your fears out, aloud.
Let no one hush your words.
Though it hurt you,
Or to the core consume you,
Let the truth out; it does not kill,
But liberates the soul.
Woman... have no fear to break the silence.
Crack it to shards and be free,
denouncing the oppressors
or pulling free from your bonds.
And let it all be "taken by the wind."
Be your own woman,
work your land and sow the seeds
of good fruits in its furrows
because your harvest will be
that love you cultivate within you.
Woman... sans misgiving, dismiss your silence...
that chain that holds you.
There are no eternal yokes nor tyrants,
Nor jailers of women.
You were born free, sovereign,
and thus... never withdraw... woman.
Woman… woman…
Women, let us break the silence.
Poesia
México
Brindo por México paisanos,
cual excelsa alborada recorro sus caminos,
con el alma inspirada trepo cerros,
cual gaviota exploro hasta el último recodo
que Dios ha construido.
Con orgullo me cobijo en el reboso
al decir: aquí he nacido.
Siendo México mi voz y eco,
que en mí retumba; su recuerdo vivido.
Al levantarme
ansiosa lleno de esperanza mi destino
y de ilusiones los bolsillos.
Por México que admiro
aunque me encuentre ausente
desafiando a la muerte,
el racismo que se porta
entre esta libertad que se pregona.
Y aun cuando esta nostalgia invade,
la misma pena que castiga
al igual que aves viajeras;
ellas distinguen desde el horizonte
la senda de su destino.
Yo, a distancia
me abrigo en ti: México
y en tus brazos me conforto.
Brindo por México hermanos,
heredero de mi amor y mis suspiros.
Mujer
Mujer…
grita tu miedo a voces
que nadie calle tu palabra
aunque la verdad te duela
o te carcoma la entraña
déjala salir; ella no mata
sino libera almas.
Mujer…
rompe sin temor el silencio
hazlo trizas y sé libre
denunciando a los opresores,
o arrancándote lo que te ata
y déjalo…
“que todo se lo lleve el viento”.
Sé autónoma,
labra tu tierra y en el surco
siembra las semillas de frutos buenos,
porque esa será tu cosecha:
el amor que cultives en ti misma.
Mujer…
tritura sin recelo el silencio…
las cadenas que te amarran,
no hay yugos eternos ni tiranos
ni carceleros de mujeres.
Tú naciste libre, soberana
y por ello…
no desista nunca…mujer.
Mujer… mujer…
Mujeres rompamos el silencio.
